I like the activity, however, it says “without repeating any number” and 7 and 9 are both repeated.
I think that Shaun must mean that any new numbers you add must not be repeated.

Nice activity…however should this be an 8th grade activity instead? Do the students need Pythagorean Thm for scenarios 2 & 4?

I adapted this task for 7th grade to say “The triangles represented by these sides can exist”, since they don’t learn Pythagorean Theorem until 8th grade.
