Comparing Decimals 1

Directions: Using the digits 0 to 9 at most one time each, place a digit in each box to create two different decimals: one that is greater than 5 and one that is less than 5.

Hint

How can we tell whether a decimal has a value that is less than 5 or greater than 5?

Answer

There are many possible answers but the one that is less than 5 will be at most 4.987 and the one that is greater than 5 will be at least 5.012.
